One of the Running Crab spiders in Philodromidae. Norm says this is a youngster and they will lose all those fancy hairs on the legs. These are predatory runners mainly in the trees. Some specialize in deciduous and some in conifers in the east. This soft gray species is in Philodromus. And probably is P. vulgaris. 55 species in this genus alone in the US.

I thought for a long while this was a male Lycosid. Difficult to see the eyes and I was not sure of the genus here either.  It is apparently a Thanatus in the Running Crab group, solved by bugguide spider guys.

And a white striped model. Was also on my Wolf page but almost certainly also a Thanatus. Possibly the same species. Eight widespread species in this genus.
