Genus Sericopompilus This key is constructed from H. E. Evan's Taxonomic Study of the Nearctic Spider Wasps Belonging to the Tribe Pompilini from 1951. Includes both expected species in this genus in Arkansas for each sex. There is one other species in the Florida area for the US. |

1 Clypeus evenly arcuate below; ocelli of average size, post-ocellar line usually slightly greater than ocello-ocular line; apical 3 or 4 segments of abdomen black, the legs wholly black apicalis 1' Extreme lower margin of clypeus truncate; ocelli large, post-ocellar line distinctly greater than ocello-ocular line; abdomen entirely rufo-ferruginous, the legs usually in part so neotropicalis
Males
1 Ocelli of moderate size, post-ocellar line slightly greater than ocello-ocular line; middle basitarsus not ringed with pale yellow apicalis 1' Ocelli unusually large and prominent, post-ocellar line much greater than ocello-ocular line; middle basitarsus with a broad ring of pale yellow neotropicalis
