One of the Pygmy darners and rare to uncommon except for specific breeding areas such as Bell Slough in Mayflower and Lorance Creek Natural Area. Attracted sometimes to gravel or open roadways near their breeding water. Fearlessly land on upright humans and on the sides of tree trunks like a Petaltail. This is the male. Females are similar.
