The small dove that can be very possessive of its fruit. This is the Ruddy Ground-Dove. Males and females appear. This is a male. Females are not as ruddy. 

They often flare a wing to warn other birds off. Daring the bird to attack the underarm I suppose. More often performed for another dove but used on anyone when necessary.
