There are several Euphonias that grace Luck's yard. This is the less common Green-chinned. Note the dark color extending onto the upper throat. The very common Violaceous Euphonia has a bright yellow chin and throat and more yellow on the forehead. The color of the back of this species is darker as well. The female that is not well seen here is a darker grayer color than the Violaceous females.
