Zebra Heliconian Heliconius charitonius

Another Passion Vine eating longwing. (Maybe they all eat Passiflora?) And distinctive in both coloration and flight. One can tell a Zebra from across a river. Lovely things. Sometimes abundant in Florida. A stray anywhere but Texas and Florida. Florida gardeners should all throw a Passion Vine, Passiflora, in just to bring these to the yard.

Exterior view showing the long wing form and the pronounced Zebra lines.
