Linda's Roadside-Skipper Amblyscirtes linda

A superb shot of the rare Linda's Roadside Skipper from Bob Barber who has a nearby colony in north Arkansas. Note the marked silvering on both wings that extends well forward. Compare with the Common Roadside Skipper. This is a spring specialty of the northern Ozarks.

A topside view. Showing the plain copper brown without much spotting.

Much more worn and possibly female individual from Perry county. Note still the more elongate form and the reduced spot row on the forewing.

View of the copper coloration from another individual at the Perry county site.
