Carolina Roadside-Skipper Amblyscirtes carolina

A creamy Roadside-Skipper species that is fairly rare along the stripe of states where it occurs. Arkansas is at the western extreme of its known range. But oddly the two counties it is known from here are in the northwest section of the state.  Feeds on cane, Arundinaria, and Bob Barber found these at the first large canebreak he checked along the clear streams in Newton County. It was in the spring brood of this possibly triple brooded rarity.
